From Basic to Statement: The LBD.

Blazer: Thrifted | Blouse: Target | Dress: H&M | Shoes: Nina for DSW | Clutch: Aldo

Adding onto my essentials post, I thought it would be a good idea to show you guys one of many ways to update your wardrobe. This time around, I'm featuring the little black dress. As I mentioned before, it's your go-to dress for those 'nothing to wear' moments. Your LBD is your best friend. If you believe otherwise, you might want to rethink the friendships you have with the items in your closet.

Here's one of the few I own, a simple ballerina style I picked up at H&M for $10. I know, great find right? I included my sheer blouse and tucked it under its stretch band to fit exactly over my cinched waist. Additionally, I pulled out my metallic gold pumps I lucked up on at DSW (Pssst, for only $20!) to compliment my jewelry, which also matched well with my color-blocked clutch my best friend gave me for my birthday. Then topped it all off with a simple, but bold blazer.

This is just one way, but I encourage you to style your little black dress differently each time it's worn, whether it's swapping out your shoes or layering on a jacket. There's an unlimited amount of options. Take advantage of it.
