HOW TO | WARDROBE PREP

This isn’t exactly what you call a meal prep, but the same steps pretty much apply for your wardrobe. Stay ahead of the game and plan your outfits for the workweek. It saves you a lot of time and prevents the morning struggle from ruining your day. Everyone has those moments where getting ready just isn’t as seamless as it should be. So let’s take some time out of our lazy Sundays and get into preparation mode with this guide: 




MIND THE FORECAST
The weather is one of the most important factors when getting dressed. Always check the forecast for the week and plan accordingly. Rain or shine, make sure you're dressed appropriately for each day.

CHECK YOUR CALENDAR
Scroll through your week to see if you have any meetings or events happening, and make a note of how you need to dress. Do you need to go prim and proper or can you keep it casual like a Friday? Take that into consideration.

PLAN FOR 5, PULL FOR 10
So you have your outfits set, but what about those much needed back-ups? Major key: plan b options are lifesavers. Never make wardrobe plans without a second or third look. And lets say that all of your first options work out, now you have ensembles set for the following week.


ACCESSORIES ARE KEY
Accessories can make or break an outfit. Be mindful that your bag, jewelry, and shoes are essentials. The smallest details matter and remember: go for neutral options because they’re easier to swap in and out. This way, you can pair with both your original and back-up look.


LABEL AND GO

Grab a sharpie and some tape. It helps to mark you hangers by the days. And even though your sharpie may be permanent, you're organization isn't. We know that the weather can be tricky and last-minute plans come about, so you can always shuffle up the looks. Once that’s complete, you’re all set and ready for a fresh start on Monday.
